Ayurvedic Consultation

"W"holistic Healing

Ayurveda (translated with Science of Life), the oldest health system in the world, can help diagnose the cause of what ails you. This ancient science is well-know to…

reduce stress, help balance weight, help with mood improvement, generate more energy, help to boost your immunity, help to calm your mind, help to build vitality and finally help to prevent disease.

A typical exam involves a pulse & tongue evaluation and a detailed Q & A to find out more about your personal health history and life-style. The results will give answers about the underlying factors in the disease process. The treatment of your imbalance that may be responsible for all of your symptoms will be the next step. It is important to understand that the Ayurvedic treatment is very personalized. Offered therapies may include: herbs, diet, exercise, life-style changes, stress prevention and more. Ayurveda as self-care is an active therapy in which the client learns to heal himself or herself by integrating the offered tools (taught and recommended by the Ayurvedic practitioner).

Body Cleansing

Spring (and Fall) are the perfect months for a detoxifying diet. Ayurveda teaches us that food that is not digested properly causes a build-up of toxins and waste material in the system (ama). The anti Ama diet (yes, you will eat and not just drink juice) is used as part of a preliminary cleansing treatment. Students who did not do an Ayurvedic Consulation at KEY would have to add a brief evaluation to the Cleansing Session. For further information or to schedule your session please contact: katrin@katrineliayoga.com.

Cleansing Session

Hormone Yoga Therapy

Reducing menopausal symptoms naturally

4 hour HYT Private: $325 (materials are included), $ 200 (group setting)

Living for many years with the troublesome menopausal symptoms is one thing, but having only the choice of using hormone replacement substances in order to feel better is another. Many women wonder if there are alternatives?

Hormone Yoga Therapy (HYT), invented by Dinah Rodrigues, is a “w”holistic form of yoga that offers a natural alternative approach. Its focus is to reactive the hormone production through a designed sequence of yoga postures (asana), specific breathing exercises (pranayama), Tibetan energy technique, and yoga nidra (visualization during mediation). Disagreeable symptoms during menopause such as hot flashes, insomnia, depression, headache, tiredness, hair loss, migraine, emotional instability, and many others are indicators that the hormone levels in a woman’s body is low and needs to be increased. Results show as well that HYT also helps in preventing osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, and assists in infertility, perimenopausal symptoms, stress, and panic symptoms.

“…to control the results I asked the participants (of a research group) to take a blood test of estradiol before beginning the practice (of HYT), which should be repeated every 4 months along with a questionnaire to evaluate the intensity of symptoms. The results were very good: 100% of the students, in 3 to 4 month of practice, without medication, either had no more symptoms and if there were any symptoms, their intensity was nearly zero. (Ms. Rodrigues).”

In this 4 hour session, Katrin (trained and certified by Dinah Rodrigues in HYT) will teach you a sequence of physical dynamic exercises in combination with an energetic breathing technique. Both techniques are designed to reactive hormone production and, as a consequence, it will eliminate or at least significantly reduce the intensity of most menopausal symptoms. It is important that positive results will come with a regular home practice (of 30 minutes), which will be discussed in the workshop.

Yoga Wall Training

For yoga teachers & yoga students

The Yoga Wall is a concisely designed system developed by master teacher B.K.S. Iyengar to aid a practitioner’s alignment within a yoga practice. It consists of straps, pelvis slings, bars, etc. that are pushed and locked into hardware within the wall. In using the yoga wall tools the student is able to balance, suspend, push, pull, and sit in yoga poses safely using the apparatus. Yoga Wall classes will help the practitioner in finding one’s alignment (in a yoga pose), flexibility, and strength.

This 6 hour Level I training on the Yoga Wall is created for yoga teachers of any yoga style and for yoga students who have a steady yoga practice for a few years.

You will learn in this weekend session:
• How to use the different yoga wall props safely.
• How to set up basic yoga poses on the wall (with the focus on proper alignment) such as Downward Facing Dog, Warrior poses, Triangle, Side Angle, Revolved Side Angle, Revolved Triangle, selected seated poses and back extention, and for sure the headstand without bringing the head on the floor and other inversions.
• How to use the yoga wall props in the practiced poses on the wall.
• There are a few yoga poses (that are practiced on the yoga wall) that have more thna one way of setting them up with props. We will address these during this training.

Price for 6 hour training in a one-on-one setting, Level I (handbook is included): $360

Price for two students in the training: $280 (per Person)
